Pros

- Nice building, good parking, food. - Awesome Coworkers - I don't consider "swag" a pro, but they do. - I dont consider living on energy drinks all day a pro, but they do.

Cons

- SDR salary is 45k (lower end of the industry average for SDR's), you can not negotiate commission in interview..even though this is a sales role. OTE was said to be 60k when in reality its around 58,000. Its going to be lower now though and I will explain why underneath. - Commission is extremely low. It was actually just lowered from 50 dollars per "opp" to around 20 dollars per "opp", expected 15 opps per month. ACV is around 1.2% commission, expected ACV is around 18,000. -Extremely high turnover rate, at SKO they discussed that it was over 100% in 2022. - In order to be promoted, you need to be a high performer..which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, Podium will need to become your life and balance becomes difficult. - Every manager is different, there are managers who ask for "commits" during the day. If you do not hit your "commit" for the day, they will ask you to stay longer hours. Saying "no" will put you in a bad position. - Customers are upset with the software, many customers have been paying for Podium for months and still have not been onboarded. - Encouraged at many points to lie on the phones. - SDR's are undervalued and easily replaceable. Some managers will say negative things about the 100% turnover employees, once they leave. - Burn out rate is high amongst peers, however, many peers will never tell their managers that they are burnt out..so managers don't see all the sides. You are required to smile and pretend as if this job isn't an underpaying, life force sucking organization.
