Cons

The Glassdoor ratings speak for themselves. Only 56% of people who work at podium would recommend this place to a friend. Only 60% approve of the CEO. Stellar numbers! Great job! I’ve never in my life been around leadership who lacks basic humanity and respect for others like senior leadership does here. The demographic for Podium is to hire first time workers out of college who are young and naive. It’s easier to control people this way when they don’t know what a toxic work environment is, because this is literally their first company. “Leadership” here is being treated like property. “Leadership” here is holding other employees accountable for mistakes instead of looking in the mirror on why someone wasn’t set up for success, and then creating a path forward aimed towards overall success for everyone. Don’t work here. The bad reviews on here are true. At Podium you will be underpaid and overworked. Micromanaged so much that any critical thinking will not be allowed. Met some cool coworkers but also tons of fake cutthroat people who will step on your neck any chance they get. There is a high level executive who complained about some of us leaving at 4:30 instead of 5. Oh the calamity! While you make probably triple our salary in your oversized office you’re worried about some of us leaving at 4:30? Ok. Says everything I need to know about the leadership here. Very toxic and controlling people. Also, a salary position is paying you to get a job done, not be there to appease your ego and control. Embarrassing. I remember after Podium had their 2nd layoff of 2023 the CEO got on stage and gave this tech bro speech about how podium is the best blah blah after he just destroyed over 100 people’s livelihood. It was obvious he didn’t care at all about what just happened. I remember him saying the F word on stage too. That’s just.. so embarrassing and very unprofessional. Did he take a pay cut for running the company poorly? You know the answer. This company is ran by narcissistic, sociopathic, greedy egomaniacs who can’t get out of their own way. Avoid Podium at all costs. Don’t subject yourself to their control and being treated like properly. Podium thinks they own their employees, this is how they treat everyone. My experience at Podium is like a treadmill. You start off steady and before you know it your manager or something else has turned up the treadmill to full speed and you’re dying to keep up. This is not a healthy workplace in the slightest. Lastly, Podium was recently sued in court for not paying their SDRs while forcing them to work overtime. This company has no integrity.
