Pros

I suppose there's potential here -- the aspirations/goals of the company are great, but there are far too many issues.

Cons

- This is the worst part, the management. The owner treats the place like a labor camp -- people have been literally reprimanded for using the restroom in the morning. - There is no room for opinions or different methods. You are expected to follow everything the owner says exactly, this even includes getting yelled at for checking emails for a few minutes after a meeting instead of immediately starting on his request. - I was literally pitted against another employee for a week in order keep this position (poor guy ended up getting fired 1.5 hours into Friday). - The list goes on and on. You're expected to know something or get yelled at. You are lucky if you are trained once on anything, and you better make sure you 100% understand it all or else you'll be told you're stupid. No employee retention, many people leave within a year if not months. No data organization or standard procedures. Plenty of dishonesty and a general lack of care. Avoid this place at all costs. The owner expects the best but doesn't provide anything (terrible benefits).

Pros

It's a small company, so if you're experienced, you will take charge of your own projects in R&D. They do give you free health insurance.

Cons

Management style is not very friendly, and you don't feel respected as a junior member of the team. It is a very hierarchical culture, where the senior members eat separately from the technicians. They have had many technicians and junior engineers come and go due to a bad cultural fit. As a regular, exempt employee, you will be paid an hourly rate for your hours at work, but will not be paid overtime.
