Lacking support

Pros

Great product n base company is amazing

Cons

Isn't structured for growth, isn't staffed for growth, no support for their teams or stores. No one knows what's going on, everyone gives different direction. Company expects you to work on demand whenever they need with no added benefits. Wouldn't sound support bad, until you realize they cut your allowed labor back so back, each mngr is working 6days, 14 hours min to survive. Sick? Health issue? Family emergency? Better work around it, no support to cover you n they'll NEVER approve any of your owed personal days. And good much taking your vacations....better be one day at a time with 6 month notice n they will still try to make you work it. Only care about making numbers, treat asl employees like crap.

Pros

Competative compensation. Huge bonus potential (unachievable in stores open less than two or three years.) Huge number of tenured and life long employees in home base of Florida contribute to family first feeling

Cons

Outragious demands from middle management as far as hours and scheduling go. As a 10+ year food service manager I had the brand new experience of working multiple back to back 70 and 80 hour weeks. Poorly designed systems and procedures. Inventory loss and waste has less to do with running the systems and more to do with applying practical and common sense controls not specific to pollo. Recently had the VP of Operations comment at a conference about how every single one of her direct reports was in position less than 1 year. They tout internal promotions and growth but have a super low internal promotion rate of about %20. Cumbersome inventory management system. Labor standards that are not transparent at the unit level.
