Pros

It's an okay starter office job if you have no plans of ever moving up in a company.

Cons

I've been wanting to make this post for a couple of years now. But I really wanted to try and give this company a chance. As it was my first office job and the highest paying job I've ever achieved in my young age. But through all of the kicking and screaming and clawing my way to a path to success in this company, after giving 5 years of my life to this place, I am told that my entire team will be replaced with Philippines workers. Why? "To meet business needs". Which is just a fancy way of saying, "They are much cheaper to employ and we'd rather line our pockets with more profit than retain a decent quality of service to our clients." During my time working here I have been handed a notice that my team was disbanding and I would be laid off a total of 4 times. I really wanted to stay and possibly move up the chain in this company to further my technical career. But I am tired. I'm tired of the worry, the heartbreak, and the disappointment that comes from being a Pomeroy employee. Leadership sees everyone else as nothing. No raises or opportunities for higher wage has been presented to lower employees in the last three years. My husband also worked for this company for the last 5 years. For the first 4 years he worked on the same desk that serviced a Bank. Call volumes were always high for his desk. And despite him being the most dedicated and hardworking analyst on his team, with the best numbers (SLA, QA, FCR) when the opportunity to move up the ladder within his team arose, he applied for the position five times. Each time being denied for the reason of "you are too valuable to be taken off of phone calls" without so much as offering compensation for being that "valued" employee. To sum it all up, this company is trash. There's so much drama on upper management that it could rival a Jerry Springer episode. They have no respect nor value their grunt employees in any way. They will drop any employee in a second if it meant saving a few bucks. And if they aren't dropping you, they will do anything in their power to hold you back. Please think twice about joining this company or accepting any position here. Because there is no job security and they will lie through their teeth to make you think you are secure in your position.

Pros

- My coworkers are great

Cons

-Strict call center rules -No real policy in place for raises -Poor handling of FMLA leave, 0 paid days for parental leave -They will garnish your wages, lower your salary, or take your PTO without telling you, and it is written into the employee handbook that they can do this at will, as well as fire at will -Inconsistent policies, your manager will tell you one thing and HR will tell you another
