Pros

A few really talented, kind, technical people. Unfortunately this is an exception to most of the people I worked with. Better than no job.

Cons

Upper management has no clue how to manage expectations of their clients. Lack of big clients caused them to bend over backwards for any demand no matter how unreasonable it was from, at the same time screwing over the employee. Expectations for talented employees were completely unreasonable while lower level employees seemed to get away with chit-chat all day. Easy to burn out in no time and become cynical. The "reward" for myself going above and beyond to give my clients the top notch service they deserve was an "average" rating. When I questioned why I wasn't rated excellent or exceeding expectations I was told "he doesn't believe in giving those out". The only comforting thing was that I wasn't alone. Since then morale is at an all time low. As employees leave they aren't replaced in a reasonable amount of time so it is often a case of doing more with less. When I started I really saw hope in the company, I hear now they are trying to fulfill obligation for coverage for their clients by moving M-F workers to work part of the weekend. Benefits such as health are horrible and show how much they care. In orientation they basically admitted the prescription plan was bad but tried to spin it as "a way to make you a better consumer" by seeking out better deals on prescription drugs. This is not saying that they didn't hesitate calling anyone at any time of the night any day of the week to put hours in. Don't confuse this job with a long term role that you will be happy in. You can try your hardest but won't get far. Any constructive criticism will just land on deaf ears.
