It's not a company, it's a community

Pros

It doesn't feel like work when you love what you do and love the people you work with. Populus Group is very selective in their hiring and predominantly hires for your character (who you are), not for competence (what you know). Once in the community, opportunities abound for those that create their own path and work towards their next opportunity. If you don't want to work hard, fail forward and control your destiny in your career, Populus Group is not the place for you.

Cons

Very open culture, where you are encouraged to be yourself and truly get to know your teammates. If you want and thrive in an environment where you put your head down, get your job done, and keep to yourself, you won't be happy at Populus Group. If you want to stay within your comfort zone, you won't be happy at Populus Group.

Pros

PG hires exceptional people who work hard and play hard. The people at PG strive every day to make PG better - what more can you ask for? PG also values Team 1 and understands that people have a life outside of work. As much as possible, PG allows it's employees to find their balance.

Cons

Not enough pot luck lunches.

Pros

Great, progressive company culture, awesome coworkers, nice benefits. You're encouraged to drive your own professional development and career path within the company, which is refreshing.

Cons

Your growth is largely in your own hands, not necessarily a bad thing, but being proactive and self-directed is key.
