solid career opportunity if you can get in union membership competitive pay with other community colleges people are great helping students feels good

Cons

reluctant to take on new permanent employees contract work does not lead to employment can be overly political cost cutting going on across departments

Great community, good benefits, and tons of support. It's truly a collaborative and friendly place to work and everyone cares about our mission.

Cons

Outdated technology, frequent meetings and committees (for APs at least), and it's difficult to get to my campus from where I live.

Working on campus is convenient. There are perks balanced by disadvantages. It is a safe space to develop skills around working with the public

Cons

"Student Leadership" is a predefined concept into which employees are cast. It's difficult to lead in a straight narrow hallway lined by locked doors.
