Great co-workers and management - bad politics.

Very good benefits and management within my department is stellar - they believe in the work we do and provide a great work environment for their employees. Pay is about industry standard and the hours are normal. General communication with managers and co-workers is spot on.

Cons

The politics are ridiculous - part of the beast with the public sector. That being said you don't have to play their games and they can't really do anything about it.
