Management Lacks Communication Skills

Pros

Some of the staff were great to work with, and some were willing to listen to new ideas to help with improvements for the staff

Cons

New GNA's lack professionalism and proper training when when dealing with the elderly. Some staff members didn't even speak to the family members when approached. The meals for the residents are much to be desired.

Some of our co-workers are awesome and love their residents

Cons

Office workers, DON, ADON and shift supervisor always greets you in passing except new upper manager. Feel bullied by some co-workers. Raises small and always months past Anniversary date. Large staff turnover

Pros

Right off the highway. Shuttle takes you to and from parking areas.

Cons

Lack of training. I got maybe a total of 2 hours training and then I pretty much have been fending for myself since, guessing how to do my job. You ask for help and it's like the blind leading the blind, no one seems to have a clue what's going on. The systems used are ancient. The amount of paper used in this place is unbelievable, I could build house with the Staples boxes.
