      Really great co-workers, and close to home.

      Cons

      Pay is lower than most and no real shift / weekend differential. If it were not close to home I would look elsewhere.

      I have enjoy working with Genesis health care and all the employees help with each other with job duties. Great company.

      Pros

      work location to my home, No opportunity to get bored with any specfic co-worker for long because the turnover rate in our area ranges from before 90 days to about 2 yrs.

      Cons

      They have not honored promises of continuing ed, and now they announced formally they will no longer pay continuing ed, they will decrease the number of PTO days paid by 2 per year, they do no allow you to take personal time without the same lenthy begging process that regular pto requires, and give arbitrary reasons for declining pto, or will say, "I can give you 4 days, but not 5 that week." Sick days are part of the package but good luck using them... "you have to flex to Saturday," If you don't flex, you may get written up. Mid level manager likes to control therapist options by always keeping a write up or 2 on file. Arbitrary write ups, but human resources personnel are gone as quickly a frontline employees, so you can't follow through with a rebuttal.
