Good management, good coworkers and teamwork, some great nurses, rewarding caring for the elderly.

Cons

Bad corporate owned company, bottom line money, high turnover rate, they overwork you expect double shifts, low pay, raises of about 25 cents per year!! Some of the on call NPs and MDs incredibly rude!

Company is growing nationwide. You can go almost anywhere and find a Genesis building.

Cons

Working within the centers with managers are good, but corporate keeps taking more and more away from their employees. Health benefits have increased in cost and plans have less coverage. Pay increases have decreased to the point that you want to tell them to just keep it. Low moral of employees equals potentially poor care for residents.
