Pros

The patient's, nurses, cna's that are all over worked and underpaid

Cons

low pay, ridiculous expensive benefits, all about how much money they can make. Patients go without. Low staff moral.

Pros

Flexible schedule for DOR, great team of therapists and colleagues.

Cons

GRS keeps taking things away from their long term EE's. DOR doesn't get PAID adequately...or even near what competitors pay. the Therapists make same or $1-2 less than manager... Responsibilities of DOR increase with no pay increase or appreciation of what they do (other than a simple "thanks"). Max merit is 2% for anyone. No WEB for managers working in own gym. since going public in Feb 2015, productivity and labor management are beaten to death. Old area director was amazing and a huge people person...GRS realigned and you guessed it, AD was moved and new AD came in. Now Use of Micromanagenent is an understatement. No autonomy. Little support from Area management team for DOR with troubled administrator/building. Annual reviews for management are NEVER done timely resulting in wating for increase and retro pay that gets messed up...then your asked to explain why #'s dont add up with the budget. :( Morale was fantastic for a couple years and coming to work was fun. I do still enjoy all my coworkers and staff...they are like family.... Problem really lies within Genesis corporate and their lack of humility and understanding the idea of taking care of your own people. Cuts, cuts and more cuts. Medical benefits went up and choices were decreased to (2). This is a healthcare company.... Where's the healthcare for your people who make GHC the $$$?

Pros

Abundant resources for new practitioners on internal website and via educational calls, opportunities for specialization if you're willing to put the time and effort in while balancing an already challenging caseload

Cons

Low pay, huge emphasis on productivity, unrealistic amount of documentation in time allotted, high stress, genesis has no problem giving a new grad 4 evaluations in one day or consistently giving a new grad an average of 2 evals daily on top of a schedule of nothing but progress reports and re certifications
