      Managment is clueless and staff cannot be trusted

      Pros

      The company offers the flexibility to grow through their UTC scholarship program

      Cons

      The Human Resource dept and top Management are not to be trusted. Everything is done behind closed doors. The company was build on trust and rewarding people and now it is typical corporate America to the worst degree. The entire management including the reporting structure to PW headquarters cannot be trusted. Benefit costs are higher than the norm. PW is self funded insurance and PW does not pay their fair share. Amercon had a continuous improvement program and they have trashed it.

      Amazing place to work BUT for the constant threat of layoffs

      Pros

      Great place to grow and learn. Lots of experienced engineers willing to mentor. Information is readily available. People are top shelf and culture is professional and respectful. You feel like you're part of something big and important and that what you say and do matters.

      Cons

      The constant threat of layoffs is why I eventually left. It wore me down.

      Not willing to promote or properly compensate top talent outside of executive ranks.

      Pros

      Great people and products. Company will allow high potential employees to take on a lot of responsibility quickly.

      Cons

      HR has too many guidelines in place to allow for recognition or appropriate progression of top non-executive talent. This leads to frustration and departure of many great employees who are not willing to stay at a pay grade lower than they deserve for several years.
