Pros

Exceptional pay, way above scale, which makes employees feel valued. Base salary plus commission means you get out of the job what you put into it. Customers actually appreciate the work you do fixing something they depend on (their door). Supportive management and lead technicians that value continued training and diverse backgrounds on the team. Franchise owners are highly involved in the business.

Cons

Hours can be unpredictable, a big job can run long keeping you out late on a repair. Work in a busy metro area can mean driving through heavy traffic.
