The work place can be very busy or very slow depending on which department you work in

There doesn't seem to be a lot of growth and the pay is not worth the amount of work you put in.

Can be a good place to start out in a lab. Supportive supervisory staff in the lab. Some opportunities to move into administrative roles.

Cons

Low pay in the industry for the area. Most people in the lab try to learn what they can and move on to better paying jobs. Technicians often have limited opportunities to learn and grow when management hires outside of company to grow the research lab staff.
