Pros

You'll have great coworkers; that's the only perk. I've never worked anywhere else that has such involved peers. We got together outside of work all the time and bonded over the trauma.

Cons

I hardly know where to begin: 1) If you weren't one of management's class pets, you were at constant risk of being fired for breathing incorrectly. 2) Turnover was insane, with new hires being fired within 6 months because they didn't pass the EA exam in that time frame while also managing their work and home life. 3) The workload is not sustainable or manageable. Employees handle anywhere from 80-120 cases at one time and you're expected to move this effectively and efficiently, make zero mistakes, and please every single client. How is that even possible when you have half an hour per week per case? 4) Management would often ask for suggestions or ideas for improvement, then berate us at State of the Union meetings for even thinking our situation needed improvement. 5) The pay is NOT competitive. Don't let them act otherwise. 6) There is so much bureaucracy in every little thing you do: from trying to take a bathroom break (they literally made people fill out a spreadsheet detailing every time they got up from their desks) to working with disgruntled clients to implementing any change that would actually improve working conditions. 7) HR/Office Manager (??? except it's not HR because it's one woman who picks and chooses the favorites) micromanages EVERYTHING. The last thing you ever - EVER - want to do at this company is go to HR about something. It's a one-way ticket out the door. 8) Expect to be monitored. Teams, phone calls, emails, whispers in the hall. Expect to have everything you do picked apart. Expect metric requirements and an automatic email every day letting you know if you called enough of your clients (because being on the phone is the only measure of work apparently). And before the company writes me off as a disgruntled former employee: I'm not. Personally, my experience was alright. I largely enjoyed my time because management liked me. I kept my head down and my mouth shut and did my work until I left on my own accord. That's the key to a good experience. That doesn't change everything I said above, doesn't make it any less true. And, the absolute terror of stepping on the wrong toes on the wrong day and watching all of management's supposed "we're a work family" fly at the window hung over my head every single day. It's a fear that follows me to this day (it's not normal to feel this way).
