Good pay, not a great job though

Pros

Decent sized company, but different positions had smaller groups of people in them so it felt like a small company. Pay for Coeur d'Alene started at $20 which is pretty good!

Cons

Training wasn't that great, not a formal training. They expect you to job shadow someone, and have it all down. I felt like a burden when trying to ask clarifying questions. My immediate supervisor usually was either not around, or just seemed too busy to want to help.

We do have a structured training program in place, including job shadowing, weekly check-ins, and 30, 60, and 90-day reviews to ensure new team members are supported and understand their responsibilities. We recognize that everyone learns differently, and your suggestion for more formal, hands-on training in the early stages is valuable. What a wonderful team!

Pros

My experience at Precision Tax has been unlike any other in an office setting. In the near year and half I have worked here, I have only had the most wonderful interactions with team members across every department, observed management's constant efforts to provide a cohesive team atmosphere, and felt heard on every level of management when questions or concerns arise. I love the monthly luncheons, team outings, and staff parties that always interrupt the daily mundane with perfect timing. I am grateful for the generous benefits, tuition reimbursement (though I did not take advantage), and the 3 weeks PTO each employee begins with at PTR. It's truly been an unprecedented work experience over all in my 30 years of being in the workforce.

Cons

I struggle with sitting at a desk for very long, and my position requires attention to my desk and phones throughout the day, with need to notify my team each time I get up for anything. It isn't the fault of the company, it's just the demand of the position. So, I try to stand and walk around as often as possible. And many desks in the client services specialist area offer the stand-up desk option.
