Culture of importance

Pros

Good health insurance coverage; some nice perks, including gym discounts (though they should have their own gym on campus!); good work-life balance; nice reverse commute from Seattle; Casual dress code is nice to have, but it took a decade to get to it.

Cons

Horrible culture of "who's more important than who" there. Underlings are not allowed to mingle with or contact upper management directly. Senior Executives expect the lower-wage people to respect their decisions and keep their mouths closed if they disagree. Disgusting disparity of wages from the executives to the people who have to clock in and out each day. The conservative climate is also very discouraging. Strong anti-Obama, anti-health care reform sentiment in the leadership. The "tobacco-free" campus has only lead to streets littered with cigarette butts on both sides of the company. The majority of the associates are morbidly obese. Seems like we should practice what we preach if we want to promote a "culture of health."

Pros

Tries to do the right thing A lot of smart and engaging people employed here Nice overflow parking lot although it is now too full most days

Cons

Unrealistic expectations of lower level, hourly employees Minimal raises - only once annually No bonuses for hourly associates Only those with stellar, super star reviews get promoted Behind the scenes politics can (and often do) hold others back
