Poor management!! Upper management lacks direction which leads to lack of ownership and accountability by departmental managers and supervisors. The employee turnover is extremely high at both the operator and middle management level.
Lack of systems. The company has grown fast and has not invested in the necessary systems to support the increased production. Daily/weekly order planning is of a printed report and two hour production meeting.
Dirty and disorganized. The management continues to talk about "lean production" but can even implement 5S. Training has been provided to employees but management is not interested in spending the time and effort to make it happen.
