This company is a pyramid scheme where initial members have to pay a fee up front, and that money is used to pay members on higher tiers of the company. The only time a member makes money is when they recruit enough people and move up to a higher tier. The system eventually wouldn't be able to sustain itself, which is why Primerica, in my opinion, is a scam. They start out with a fake interview process to make themselves look like they are a selective company, but you'll notice that everyone that applies there (no matter how bad their credentials,) gets the job. This is because the company isn't looking for skilled business sales, but rather a large number of members to fuel the scheme. During the "interview" the interviewer did not ask for a resume, job experience, or references. They asked for a $99 fee that would cover background checks and materials to pass a license exam, but companies usually pay for background checks themselves. The company would not disclose details about the business before this fee was paid, and there are no refunds. Once a person enters the company they try to show off how much money people at the top of the company make, which is suppose to motivate members to recruit more people to keep the scheme going. Then they go though a members phone and write down all their contacts (the potential market of the new member). The trainer constantly reminded me that this company is not a pyramid scheme through faulty logic such as "just because there are tiers to the company doesn't make it a pyramid scheme, all companies have some type of hierarchy." This is a true statement, but it overlooks the fact that the companies main goal is recruiting people rather than selling anything. The trainer also said there would be a mandatory business meeting that I had to bring 4 other people to. Not once did the trainer even mention selling life insurance. When I told the trainer that I had another appointment they would not let me leave by saying that it was important I stay 5 more minutes. After 45 minutes of stalling me by showing video propaganda made by the company, I realized that this company was fraudulent and the $99 I paid would never be seen again. I walked out the door and never came back. Finally, my trainer was high on cocaine the whole time.
