Pros

Clean Supplies Nice playgrounds Nice parents None

Cons

If I could give this place -0 stars I would. Please don’t let your first interview fool you - the place is so nice when you walk in and makes you feel like this is a one of a kind day care. IT IS NOT. Gossip, favorites, and management and the owner could care LESS for the staff. Everyone is just a body making her and her husband a penny. You are little pawns and you must abide by everything they say are they make a list to replace you. If you know what’s good for you, don’t work here and do NOT send your children here. They hire 17 year olds who have never been around a child in their life just so they can have a body in the room for ratio.

Pros

The kiddos are the only pro to this job unfortunately. You form bonds with the kids that your heart literally won’t let you quit until you can’t take it anymore.

Cons

Where do I start? I started at primrose and it took a couple months before I realized how toxic of a work environment this place is. There is absolutely no support whatsoever. The managers will call you in the office to tell you how terrible you’re doing. And they also will tell you that people are talking mess about you when I’m reality it is them! They would constantly make you stay late and pile work on top of you but tell you not to take it home to finish but give you no time during work to complete the tasks. The parents of the school are having meetings with these managers for them to STILL throw me under the bus almost 7 months later. It’s ridiculous. Oh and they played the “ you probably don’t like the managers bc of their race” card which is not at all the case. Their turnover rate is out the roof as well and it’s for a good reason.

Pros

The other teachers are nice and supportive. Free food during shifts.

Cons

Management is childish and hard to work with. You’ll hear 10 different stories from each member of leadership, absolutely NO communication between them. They only care about money and not the well-being of the teachers and children like advertised. They refuse to help fix issues and for lack of better phrase often gaslight their teachers and make them think they are the problem. I would never recommend this job to anyone I know. It is terrible for any persons mental and physical well-being. The latter due to the fact that they rarely send home kids that slap, scratch and hit their teachers. If you want to work in childcare search elsewhere, you deserve better!
