Pros

Their teachers are the framework of this school. The building is clean. The whole Primrose philosophy is amazing.

Cons

Children are often moved to different rooms when staffing is low. Management is friendly one minute and rude the next. Do not get on the directors bad side. They do not treat evey child the same. If you happen to personally know the owners and they like you, your child will become royalty, rules will be bent in hopes of keeping parents happy. The pay is not work the long days, never consistent planning time, teachers are asked to bring in their own enhancements instead of the owners providing the schools with what is called for in the curriculum. Their benefits are minimal and over the time I was there they took away many benefits that were in place when I was hired. They have an extremely high turn over and often over enroll their classrooms in hopes someone is out sick so it all works out. Only it rarely ever does, so kids get moved to different classes. Owners flash the money they have and try to butter up staff with little gifts here and there, instead of paying their employees what they deserve. If you are looking for a place of favorites, this is the place for you. You will be expected to take on more than humanly possible with no support and no planning time. When you can't keep up, they will either call you out on it or over praise others who don't take breaks and take things home to prep just to keep up (unpaid)

Pros

We have a lot of nice people and great teachers working here. The teachers work hard to take care of the children.

Cons

Management is very dishonest. Owners don't know how to manage. They take advantage of us teachers and parents of the children.

Pros

The pros of working here are that you get to sound snooty when you tell people where you work. This is not a joke it's absolutely the only pro. Oh and if it was actually implemented, the character development program would be a pro.

Cons

Poor, poor, poorly written curriculum. I highly doubt whoever wrote this curriculum has ANY background in early childhood education. The curriculum is filled with hand print art and teacher made art. There is absolutely nothing developmentally appropriate about it. They also use the same equipment from 2's all the way to school age. How ridiculous that a two year old and 9 year old would be using the exact same kitchen set. Look around the rooms they are empty of supplies (no art center, a bucket of blocks, tiny sensory tables, nothing ever on the science table, a tiny kitchen set) and this is what corporate requires. This is what they see as being the "leader in early childhood education". Apparently they see ECE to be a joke because that's what these schools are. Anyone with ACTUAL ECE experience and education won't be happy here. How could you possibly be happy here with corporate sending you a cookie cutter, 1980's hand print style lesson plan.
