Poor management, high turnover

Pros

The only pro is that some parents are really understanding of your struggle and are super nice in trying to help.

Cons

Management is terrible, zero discipline is allowed for children other than calling their parents (but only if they're endangering other children), so the children are allowed to run wild. Only manageable rooms are the infant rooms because they don't misbehave, but they often enroll more infants than the room is equipped to handle. Teachers often walk out in the middle of their shifts, never to return.

Great Program but could use some management work

Pros

The curriculum is great! The overall program really encourages children to develop life skills, which are incredibly important. The curriculum reaches the WHOLE child.

Cons

Director showed a lot of favoritism to some staff, and then gave me a really hard time when I actually left. She had a hard time keeping her opinions to herself and spoke badly of her teachers. This was the main reason I left. A place should not promote integrity in their mission statement when the director does not lead my example.

Pros

I liked working 4 - 9.5 hour days and having a day off during the week. The director at the center did try to keep classrooms in ratio - however on some days we would have so many call offs or late employees it would be an issue.

Cons

As much as they charge the parents they should have teachers with CDA's and/or Degrees in Early Childhood Development. Insurance is very poor-Communication is poor- many times teachers are unaware of what the parents have been emailed and unable to answer questions that we should be able to. Owners seem to only care about the money they bring in. The menu is kept very cheap and the child dislike the meals.
