Pros

Salary within industry standards. Benefits decent

Cons

Cruise line stuck in the 80's, it's a total mayhem compared to more structured companies out there. Shipboard leaders have no respect nor trust for shoreside management mainly because people @ HQ are more focused on pleasing their direct superior more than helping out teams at sea. Shipboard promotions are carried out without a clear career path, mostly based on whether the VP of Guest Experience likes or not the person who has applied for an opening. HQ leadership is nowhere to find. No support from colleagues, a very dry and harsh place to work at.

Old-fashioned office environment and culture, good perks

Pros

Heavily discounted cruises, 9/80 work schedule, 401K (though it takes a long time for matching to set in), decent work/life balance

Cons

Below-market pay, stale office environment, culture lacks true collaboration and support for one another. People are out for themselves and have little intention of nurturing anyone on their teams.
