Pros

- Friendly atmosphere within the site - Open door policy between managers & staff - Relatively young site with a lot chance for bonding outside of work - Good benefits like staff shops - Good free private healthcare scheme - Lots of training given to staff

Cons

- If you go to a non red brick uni you come in as a Researcher; if you went to a red brick uni (think Oxbridge etc) you come in as a Scientist. The career advancement from Researcher to a Senior Scientist level may take 15 years whereas comparatively it only takes up to 5 years from a Scientist to go onto Senior Scientist. So for those coming in at the bottom, expect to stay there awhile. - Don't expect a good pay if you start at the bottom. - You are expected to put in the hours.
