Pros

The company is values it's employees. You move assignments every 2-3 years & you can change categories & roles. (you can even change functions--i.e. from Marketing to HR). Since it is a promote from within company, you get a lot of training. Another great thing about P&G is the people--everyone is very enthusiastic and takes pride in their work (along with being very clever!)

Cons

Although it has every intent to be agile & move quickly, the reality is that changing anything is like moving a tanker--it takes ages! Also, the pay isn't as high as other companies in FMCG. Finally, the head office is in Weybridge & the traffic sucks.

Pros

good stepping stone for a future career if you are interested in marketing or sales, good work-life balance.

Cons

slow development, limited opportunities, averse to adopting best practices from outside the company, risk slipping in to a routine & administrative mode due to slow and top-down decision making thereby killing the challenge and entrepreneurial spirit, got to fit a single distinct personality pattern ('proctoid') to be recognized thereby limiting diversity.

Pros

The ability to work most of the time your OWN hours. The way your work is reported either via the internet or sidekick (similar to the palm pilot). To work for a company that most people know of the products and some of which have been around for many many years such as Tide, Olay and Pamper's.

Cons

The lack of hourly pay that you receive as a merchandiser. The inability to be included in retirement incentives or 401K savings. No medical coverage offered for part-time employees
