First and foremost, women are treated terribly here. We are consistently overlooked, underpaid, and disrespected in the workplace. Despite having the same qualifications and skills as our male counterparts, women are rarely given the same opportunities for advancement, and the pay disparity is glaring. If you’re a woman, expect to work twice as hard for half the recognition—and certainly don’t expect your salary to reflect your efforts.
Raises and salaries across the board are laughable, and if you’re not an engineer, don’t even bother expecting to be treated as a valuable asset. The gap between the engineers and everyone else is stark, and PEC offers little in terms of fair compensation for non-technical roles.
Another glaring issue is the lack of diversity in the C-suite and upper management. The leadership is almost entirely made up of white males, and it’s clear that diversity is not a priority for them. There’s no effort to address this imbalance, which creates a toxic and exclusionary environment, especially for women and people of color. They say you're family, but management only cares about themselves.
PEC's attempts to appear like a large, sophisticated firm fall flat. There are so many meaningless titles—way too many VPs and Senior VPs who don’t really contribute much to the firm’s actual success. It seems like the management team is more concerned with their inflated egos and titles than actually running a successful business.
It’s also worth mentioning that turnover is through the roof. This place is a revolving door—people are constantly leaving because of the terrible work environment, and the company is always hiring to fill those spots. It's clear that they can’t retain employees for long, which speaks volumes about how employees are treated.
I would not recommend anyone apply to PEC, especially if you are a woman. But even if you are not a woman, think about whether you want to support a company that would treat your mom, sister, spouse, or friend the way PEC does. It's not a place where people are valued or respected, and it's not a place where you will thrive.
