You'll get along well with the other employees like you

The pay is not that good compared to other companies in the industry. The benefits are lacking too. You'll feel alone while working here because you won't get to interact with co-workers much, and management does not reach out to the employees. Also, management does not treat its employees well. I suggest that you find a job somewhere else if you can.

I was in food distribution for 17 years, Proficient gave me an opportunity here with no experience in carhauling. They had a class to train me to do what they expected of me. I was nervous at first, but this is by far the most rewarding job that I personally have ever had. Not to mention I get to drive brand new Audi’s,Porsche’s and Mercedes. I’m off most weekends and any holiday I choose. This job is a lot less physical than Foodservice. I can finally sleep at night like most people. I absolutely love this job! If you have a good work ethic this is the place to be.

Cons

Starting out you will get the older trucks trucks that have (screw) decks. They are great for training tho. It’s going to take a little while for you to understand how to pick your runs. They give you options here. There isn’t forced dispatch,
