Too good to be true

Pros

Remote work. Several months of training.

Cons

Scheduling is not as flexible as they make it out to be. Resources are not efficiently updated. Lots of miscommunication between departments. If on the phones, you get 5 seconds between calls. Everything is a metric and you have put yourself into different aux modes for everything (i.e available to take calls, IT, lunch, breaks, meetings, trainings) I feel like we are viewed as children incapable of managing our time.

Pros

None. They reel you in with lies about how it’s a great company and I promise every single highly rated review is fake.

Cons

Worst company ever. Completely unrealistic workload. Systems crash a lot. They overwork every single Claims Adjuster. Expect to work 50-60 hours a week or more and have absolutely no life. No overtime pay and you’ll still have an abundance of work to do and absolutely no appreciation. It’s what’s expected. The work just continues to pile on. Supervisors are condescending, rude and enjoy micromanaging. They rarely speak to customers and make every attempt NOT to speak to customers. Supervisors snicker behind people’s back (in an obvious way) and are immature and lack communication skills. Supervisors, in this location in particular, like to make fun of new hires, BECAUSE THE NEW HIRES ARE OBLIVIOUS to their dark, depressing and mentally exhausting FUTURE of CLAIMS OVERLOAD. The Supervisors in this office are not qualified to do their job. They are only in the role because they’ve been there for years and no one else will hire them. They have no skills or qualifications to get another job. Sucks to be you fire crotch- you will get everything you DESERVE. No opportunities for advancement as the leaders are paid well to do nothing other than be “talking heads” about how great it is to work there. Yeah, I can tell it’s so great - by the icky pizza you offer as incentive to come into the office lol. The leaders are overpaid and won’t leave because they don’t do much work!! So again, not much room for advancement. The work they do consists of micro managing and belittling all their employees and attending pointless Teams meetings. They pretend to care but actions speak louder than words. If they cared they’d HELP OUT WITH THE WORK OVERLOAD- THE ACTUAL CLAIMS. You think they’d take a claim or two off your plate right? NO. The supervisors in this office are lazy, ignorant and very fake. Constantly lying and contradicting themselves. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. In fact RUN as fast as you can away from this company.

Pros

Being able to work remote is the best part of this job. Progressive also offers so many different options with your schedule. For example I have my set schedule but if you have PTO available you can put a request in the same day to get off as long as the hours are available. They also have temporary schedules where you can work a different schedule for one specific week. They are very flexible and accommodating if you need to take time off or switch your schedule around.

Cons

Mental fatigue from talking all day long
