Pros

This role was hybrid with only 1-2 days in office a week

Cons

Do not bother to apply for this job, once you apply there is a 1-2 hour assessment, then there is a Hirevue interview, which are AI generated and AI scores your interview. This is not a good indicator of ability. Additionally, you are provided no contacts to follow up with anyone or request information. Job only paid 50K, which isn't horrible if you are extremely entry level, have a major not particularly practical, or went to a school where you may not competitive in the job market

Pros

Accumulating PTO, 401k matching, decent training and nice coworkers.

Cons

The main thing is work-life balance is horrible. If you don’t have PTO, you get an occurrence for a missed day no matter if it’s an emergency that you need attend and is say this from experience. I work in sales and the call volume is horrendous. You sit down and get calls back to back until you leave. You want a break? You’re only allowed to take your first break after 4 hours of continuous work and you’ll be exhausted after the first 20 calls you get in 2 hours. Not only that, but the wait time for customers have been 3 hours so imagine what type of customers you’ll get back to back by the time they get to you after 3 hours of waiting. On top of that, but a lot of customers have been transferred around irresponsibly and when they get to me, I find out that they were transferred incorrectly for the 3rd time and I need to do another transfer. I end up hearing a lot of horrible things from customers and I have escalated these situations MANY times to upper management and nothing has changed. The company has stated that they are going to have the system give longer pauses in between calls but that lasted a week and it was nowhere to be found. The attendance policy makes you feel like a machine or makes you put the company over your personal life. I’m a husband and father and many times I’ve had emergencies with my child and I had to choose between staying at work or going to my child’s aide and getting an occurrence even if I come back to work. There is no option to take time off without having PTO. Some companies allow you to take unpaid time off in advance but not Progressive and to accrue PTO takes ALOT of time to get the desired PTO you’re looking for and that’s if you have any PTO because those calls with exhaust you to the point of using your PTO which hundreds of us have done so we can try to rest ourselves. The company talks a big a talk about caring for its employees and the only thing they’ve done was send an email on how to hand stress. That right there should say a lot.

Pros

Very "employee-centric" with plenty of opportunities to grow. Larger teams provide more opportunities for cross-training and trying out other positions; you won't get bored. Hiring/promoting from within is big.

Cons

Promoting gives poor raises. New employees typically make more than the existing employees. Although hiring/promoting from within is big, the job responsibilities compared to the pay is rarely worth it. You often get snubbed on annual salary increases because you had a promotion within the last 6-18 months. Health benefits coverages (Medical, Prescriptions) through Cigna are terrible and expensive, with very high deductibles for individuals and families. Most of your visits and prescriptions will be out of pocket.
