Pros

The people are nice, and the job is straightforward for the most part. Training is the best I've ever been through.

Cons

They seem to expand the job function for the same position more than yearly without allowing for a raise increase for that position. In the 3 years I spent here my job functions grew probably to twice the size it was when I started and we never saw any increase. Office politics get in the way of any growth for anyone who is not buddy-buddy with the hiring manager for that role. The job itself is extremely easy to get burnt out in, and with no room for growth things get pretty claustrophobic. They say that they have an open door policy but if you make a complaint it is typically dismissed or they say they will get back to you about it and never do. Also, they are extremely strict on absences to the point of excess. Unless your illness qualifies you for government assistance you are basically SOL and will loose your job, and no one seems to really care that their system is unfair.

Pros

Excellent training program and coaching for new hires. Outstanding benefits, but I can’t afford them with my hourly pay. 401(k) match up to 6%. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful and seems to enjoy their jobs. Working from home is great. I would never do this job in an actual call center post-COVID. Gainshare end of year bonus is nice, but it’s the least the company could do for its employees considering the pay is so low. I don’t really get the hype.

Cons

The work is painful, repetitive and monotonous. You work in customer service but are still expected to sell, although they will say “offer” homeowners insurance and the like for your metrics. The pay is embarrassing if you have a college degree. You really can’t tell if people actually enjoy their jobs or are just brainwashed by leadership. You have to remain in your position for 6 months-1 year before you can “grow” to a lateral position.

Pros

Equipment provided for work from home Benefits are decent

Cons

Working holidays are mandatory, calls are non stop, team chats are useless, calling assist for help is ridiculous because they never want to help, metrics are mainly for up selling products. Those have to be offered regardless which a lot of customers need help paying their auto. It’s insensitive. They also hire you for one job and then add stuff about 4 weeks into training. Had no idea I would have to be upselling anything until 4 weeks into my training. It’s stressful.
