Pros

Met some great people (virtually).

Cons

The call volume is high for all shifts. I've worked every shift and it was back-to-back even on third shift. They also do not honor medical accommodations. Most of the employees are great. Most of the calls are rate increases and they don't really train you to handle these calls. If you tell customers what they tell you to, 7/10 you're customer is still upset. Rate reviews don't work anymore because most of the customers have already done one and there's no justifiable reason their rate should've increased as much as it did, even with "market rate increases". And they discourage you from transferring to a resolution specialist so it gets exhausting after a while. If you like helping people, this isn't the job for you. The helplessness and extreme call volume is maddening. I worked virtually. Oh, and the cameras are weird too.

Good company, but too much bureaucracy

Pros

Gainshare is a great benefit and usually results in decent bonuses. 2022 was not particularly great though. 401k match is 6%, which is higher than normal. I like most of my coworkers and my boss. Career development opportunities are decent.

Cons

Lack of resources for projects. Unrealistic timelines for projects. There are far too many meetings. I barely have enough time to do my actual work. There is too much bureaucracy in IT. It is extremely hard to get things done with all the convoluted processes in-place for submitting requests. Teams are too isolated and do not work together well. One team might tell you one thing and another one will tell you something that completely contradicts what the other team said.

Pros

Pros were four days work from home, one day at office. Support from teammates was awesome.

Cons

The workload was inconsiderate. They hire you with the advice that the most you'll get is 4 claims per day but if the day is busy enough do not be surprised if you have 6. While still expecting you to stay on top of all existing claims.
