Pros

1. Good benefits 2. Unique culture 3. The advantages of working in suburbs of CLE: free parking, less traffic than major metro areas I’ve worked in 4. Opportunity for PMs to influence most areas of the product they own.

Cons

1. Annual Raises < half of inflation. It’s a really bad look for a Fortune100 to be giving such embarrassing low raises in this inflation environment. This makes it hard to attract and retain Product Analysts. This was a HUGE miss by HR this year. 2. Misguided DEI program. Seriously, it’s gotten to the point that if you are not in one of the 3 or 4 groups HR constantly sends emails about including, you definitely feel excluded. 3. Embarrassingly political (even compared to other F100 I’ve worked at): it’s not what you know, it’s who you know at Progressive. 4. Incredibly ineffective and political HR. Zero desire or willingness to solicit input from the managers on the business side before key decisions are made that impact us.
