Project Lead The Way reviews

I work with a group of directors that I think of as the "Mean Girls Club". They regularly make fun of the ideas of others and even the appearance of others. This is done openly in meetings and in accidental messaging (they meant to message someone else). And, they openly make fun of and undermine their director. The company tries to train their leaders with various programs but in the time I've been here, I have seen no positive change. There is a clique-like mentality and a lack of capable strong leadership or shared work. I like the benefits and the work but am disappointed by the culture. I feel like I'm in middle school again.

There are so many incredibly smart and passionate employees that are working for PLTW purely because they love the mission and goals of the organization. Unfortunately, during my time there far too much of the emphasis was placed on creating new products and increasing market saturation, all with the goal of improving profits. In addition, the research arm of the organization was all but abandoned, most research functions were reassigned to marketing, and the curriculum and PD writers were completely taken for granted.
