      Pros

      I truly believe some of the best talents work at this company, people with not only a lot of knowledge, but also open minded, down to earth, and very respectful of everyone's point of view, no matter your role or position. Lots of opportunities to develop at all times, initiatives to make you feel involved, and some incredible benefits (among the usual i.e. travel reimbursements, and lunches, etc., also a 3 day accounting retreat in the Netherlands every 2 years, a 3 day European retreat abroad every 5 years, help with fertility treatments, flexibility philosophy, and many more!). If you are willing to put the necessary effort in (and sometimes the hours), you will certainly feel valued and be rewarded! I believe the salaries to be competitive (although I haven't looked into the market for more than 4 years now).

      Cons

      It can feel like a very Corporate environment at times, this can affect the way you express yourself (depending on what type of person you are, of course). Also, it very much depends on the team and department, but you might be asked to put some hours in at times. You will definitely be busy, there is not much space to hide if you are not willing to work hard, workload is consistent and not much capacity for slowing down,

      Pros

      It is hard to find something positive.

      Cons

      Poor management. Toxic and highly discriminating working enviroment. High rotation of employees. A lot of people resign. No overtime paymet.

      Pros

      Very nice company to work in general. Good benefits, good location,becoming more and more flexible in terms of working location, either at the office or from home. There is a lot of learning opportunity within the Accounting. Its flat structure provides that opportunity for those who really want and show their best. People like the company as a lot of them stay for many years. HR is really working hard to improve inclusive behavior, atmosphere and culture. Another good point is nice people overall to be around.

      Cons

      Dis-functional management style in Accounting. Reaches from micromanagement, miss-management, for some lack of decision making skills and poor communication. This behavior is often transferred to the other peers and subordinates which makes the atmosphere not very pleasant to be in. The pay is not as good anymore since some competitors offer higher rates. People also stuck in their roles for way too long making some of them unbearable to be around and also not very open to learning new skills, etc.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the accounting management. The accounting management team has gone through a lot of change in the last year, specifically to further develop managers. We continue this development with training and feedback. We're working hard to make our culture even more inclusive, so every employee feels they can speak their mind freely.
