Pros

Initially it sounded like a great challenge. A newly created position in the IT department with as-yet undefined responsibilities.

Cons

It didn't take long (about two months) to realize that IT was highly disorganized and any suggestions for process improvement promptly ignored by mid level management that were generally too busy fighting fires to deal with actually improving the situation to avoid future fires. The actual CEO of the company was a very good person to work with, visionary! The CIO had no guts or gumption and spent most of the time dodging anything controversial or percieved to make him look unpopular with the Board. He has now been terminated (thankfully) but unfortunately the CEO has moved on. Layoffs underway. The current gentleman at the helm is a good person (Walter) and I wish him the best.

Pros

Prologis has a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture where teamwork and creativity are genuinely encouraged. Employees are trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and work across teams to solve complex challenges. The work is dynamic and engaging, and there are opportunities to learn from talented colleagues across many parts of the business. Leadership promotes a strong culture of partnership, and the company continues to invest in both innovation and employee development.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and the workload is often significant given the scale and complexity of the business. Many projects require coordination and alignment across multiple stakeholders, which can sometimes slow decision-making and require patience and persistence. There is not always a one-size-fits-all solution, so employees need to be adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaboration.

Pros

Prologis fosters a culture of creativity, support, and continuous growth. Employees are encouraged to share ideas, perspectives, and experiences, creating an environment where innovation thrives. The company provides the tools and resources needed for success, while actively promoting new thinking and fresh approaches. There are multiple opportunities to learn from peers, including knowledge-sharing sessions, employee resource groups, and robust benefits that support both personal and professional development.

Cons

The focus on innovation and continuous improvement can be a bit of a double-edged sword. Processes are frequently evolving, which can sometimes be challenging to keep up with. That said, it also keeps the work dynamic and creates opportunities to learn and grow. If you’re adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with change, you’ll do well in this environment.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful perspective and for your many years of contribution. As the business evolves, so do the ways we work, and that can create both momentum and complexity. Ensuring teams have visibility into what’s changing and what’s ahead is essential for staying aligned and supported.
