Pros

Technology is strong and some good reference accounts

Cons

Poor leadership, poor direction, company is spread too thin and has failed in some acquisitions and truly integrating new technology into the platform. As a sales rep you must engage a large number of “specialists” and “overlays” when working a deal which complicates everything. Don’t get me started on the broken internal processes, legal, and finance, it’s a nightmare. The CEO is not a strong leader. In his initial SKO introduction shortly after he was brought onboard he said “my problem, your problem; your problem, your problem” wow

Pros

Proofpoint still has work life balance if you protect it. Stock dividend on their stock equivalents. Record profits and revenue look stable on paper but leadership only cares about Thoma Bravo.

Cons

Layoffs targeted employees with high personal stakes (new parents, homeowners, health issues). Remaining staff are expected to do the work of 5+ people, with hiring only planned for India or Ireland. Executives prioritize ego over ethics (temper tantrums, no communication, hiring more executives instead of critical staff). Leadership makes empty promises while actively contradicting themselves through their actions. Record profits fund executive bonuses instead of supporting teams getting business done.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are proud of our continued financial strength and the benefits we provide. That said, we recognize the concerns you’ve raised around workload, communication, and leadership priorities. These are not taken lightly. We are focused on making the right investments in people, structure, and strategy to support long-term success for both the business and our teams. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us. It is greatly appreciated.
