      Does not promote, no room for growth, top performers leave

      Great Product, truly best in breed. Great vacation policy...

      Proofpoint does not take care of its employees AT ALL. No 401K match, no in office perks, no team activities, poor office culture. Proofpoint has lost most of its top performers and managers to other local tech companies. There is an extremely high turnover in sales. If you have been here for over a year you are considered a veteran. Most people leave within 6 months. The top performers seem to quit and move on because Proofpoint refuses to give pay raises. The average deal cycle is well over 200 days, don't be fooled when they tell you 90 days in your interview.

      Pros

      Proofpoint delivers data protection solutions that are best in class. Customers are happy and we have high customer retention rates. I love going into an eval with prospects because I can trust that our product does what we say it can do and far better than our competitors. Our support team is great and customers are happy, expect for the price they have to pay! I love the culture so far and enjoy working here.

      Cons

      Our price is way higher than our competition which can be a challenge. I think our building is basic and doesn't offer many frills you'll see with some companies in town. The pay scale is less competitive but Quota's are more attainable. That said you have to crush it to make up the difference.

      Excellent Technology but Immature Sales Management

      Excellent Technology, Great co-workers (non managerial), Flexible Time- Off policy

      Cons

      Extremely immature sales management and lack of leadership in the Mid- Enterprise area. More than 75% of sales associates are not making their numbers due to constant distraction and 'non-sense' rules of engagements. Nepotism & Favoritism are lot higher here, "if can't be friends with your manager than you are NOT moving up in this company".
