      Pros

      Awesome product- cutting edge! Exciting industry to be in. Some really talented folks work here. Decent benefits, people here are very nice and over all the atmosphere is fun and positive

      Cons

      No loyalty to tenured employees. Way too much politics involved with middle and upper management. CFO has too much control over the sales organization which makes for low salaries, in frequent raises and too much red-tape or unneeded hoops to jump through to get things approved. "Unlimited time off" feels like a bait and switch.

      Great growth opportunity Culture is awesome - family-like team environment ( LOVE the sales team I support - respect and champion my work; value and appreciate my work ) Management is great also - they really want you to achieve your goals Friendly, competitive environment ( competitive with one another yet still cheer each other on, we're not out to steal each other's jobs ) Hard work does NOT go unnoticed ( respect hard workers & ambitious people ) #1 product in the industry Great health & vacation benefits Management does NOT micro-manage Work along side some of the BEST in the industry; always willing to share and collaborate with you Offer tons of training material on products, industry, competition, etc.

      No 401K Finance ( & budgeting ) is a bit stingy Lack of technology to assist with job ( which is changing since a new director was hired - plans on adding key business development technologies to help us with our job )

      Cons

      Toxic culture and nobody seems to know where the ship is headed. Proofpoint does not provide any development opportunities. Proofpoint does not invest in employee training and does not spend money on just about anything. I have never heard of an employer not providing employees a cell phone and making employees share a hotel room at a Sales Kick Off for a company the size of Proofpoint. Getting an order through order processing is a nightmare due to process and internal systems not being utilized effectively. Stay away.
