The training was very unorganized, you only had a few days to learn an extremely large amount of information. We were also given a quiz on the first day of classroom training with a very generalized notice of what the focus needed to be. The hiring process is extremely fast but the payment process to register you into the payment system was extremely slow. There is no way for you to look into the system to see when you have clocked in and out or a history of hours worked and they are able to change the times which you have clocked in and out. Scheduling was not as flexible as was stated prior to hire. After being hired we were told to keep our work schedule as permanent as possible and to work your school schedule around work rather than scheduling work around your future semester classes. What you note in your availability sheet will be what you will most likely be working and mostly permanent. You don't have much of a say as to which available days you would prefer to work and there were no options given. They choose your schedule for you by all available days and times noted on said sheet by you, you don't have a choice after that. If you noted you had five available days but hoped to work two and they scheduled you for four shifts according to the sheet; those were the days that you were going to work going forward. Also, working past your scheduled shift happened quite often so if you had any classes after your work shift you will most likely get to class late or not make it to class at all. Even though you mentioned prior to hire that you had class at a certain time which is the reasons why you chose the available times that you did. If you wanted to take time off it had to be notified a month in advance. If you are having issues and you email corporate you will most likely not get a response. If you decide that you no longer want to work there within a contracted time you had to pay a fee to quit. You only get paid minimum wage. Probably another reason why they constantly need recruiting to hire new employees. I suggest finding another way to gain experience in the medical field for pre-med students.

Low wages for very high expectations (HIPAA, knowing med terms, not getting the doctor sued). After 2 years, being a trainer, and receiving praise from many providers I don't have a raise. Very poor training and recruiting recently. Poor communication from upper mgt (starting from account manager). Being a scribe is not a social job. Also, now you don't pick your own schedule, it is chosen for you based on availability.
