-Clinical experience (learn medical decision making, see pros and cons of being a physician, start learning practical medicine) -Forming connections with healthcare professionals -Learn medical terminology and documentation -Ability to advance in the company -Many facilities use ProScribe, so if you move you can easily transfer

Cons

-Pay is pretty low for what is expected of the scribes in a lot of facilities -Schedules can take a while to come out -Sometimes hours can be rough (short turn around, work nights, etc)

Great opportunity for learning medicine and getting healthcare experience. Opportunities to get leadership experience and travel.

Cons

Employees are most students gaining experience. Because of this, employees are susceptible to being taken advantage of. Students will do it for the experience and not the money so they will do it for minimum wage. However I think ProScribe would get better quality applicants and improved results if they offered more benefits to their employees. For example: higher pay, raise or PTO incentives when highest goals are met, paid holidays, better health insurance, etc.

Learn from physicians in clinic, easy to combine with college coursework. Management was flexible in allowing days off for MCAT/school.

Cons

Pay is low for the intensity of the work (around $9.50/hour)
