Pros

Literally nothing to say here

Cons

This company is currently struggling with high employee turnover due to a fundamental lack of benefits and a deeply toxic culture. Executives consistently show poor leadership by being highly negative and constantly blaming subordinates instead of taking accountability, which is destroying team morale. The company is stagnant, focused only on "meeting ends" with no clear direction for growth. Considering job here? You should take these numerous negative reviews seriously before considering.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We take cultural concerns seriously and are committed to improvement. We want to address two key business claims: Growth and Strategy: Contrary to the claim of stagnation, Prosper achieved double-digit revenue growth in 2025 and has a clear strategy for sustainable expansion. While we experienced some set backs in '23 and '24 that required us to tighten our belts, we're now turning the corner and investing in our future and our employees. Turnover: Contrary to your observation, our overall employee retention is strong. We are proud to report that 2025's turnover is currently on track to be one of the lowest on record. Certain departments' turnover may fluctuate but we are dedicated to being competitive. We are truly sorry to hear you experienced a toxic culture and feel leaders were negative or blaming. While we do value accountability, blaming is not acceptable and against our values. We have a renewed focus on accountability, positive communication, and building a trust-based culture to directly address these concerns. We value all our employees and are dedicated to making Prosper a supportive and rewarding workplace.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, health benefits are decent

Cons

I spoke openly about issues I saw in the work place and was told I was being negative. Upper management tells us we need to "grease palms" in order to prioritize our work with colleagues which goes against their values. I had 4 quarters of positive reviews then suddenly I was told I was not meeting the bare minimum of my role which is completely wrong considering I was stepping outside of my role to complete tasks and keep projects moving. You attendance is also monitored by upper management that have too much time on their hands instead of doing their actual work.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us - we are always open to hearing from our employees. Collaboration and building relationships with colleagues is absolutely one of our values at Prosper. Being a good partner to our colleagues is fundamental to our success and how we prioritize our work to ensure no one is working in a silo. We are also deeply committed to a workplace based on integrity and take very seriously when false or unsubstantiated accusations are made against fellow employees as a form of retaliation. Additionally, we are a hybrid workforce in San Francisco, and as such do ask that employees are in the office on the days they are expected. With the current requirement of only being in the office 2 days a week, we hope this gives our employees a great deal of flexibility between time to focus on individual tasks and in-person collaboration. We realize this structure and our expectations may not fit every individual's working style. Our sincere goal is for everyone to be happy, challenged and successful in whatever role they are in whether it is with us or another employer that better aligns to their needs and values.

Pros

Any pros are a past tense here.

Cons

This company is, without question, the most toxic work environment I’ve ever experienced. If you value your career, mental health, or basic human dignity, do not walk in here, just run in the opposite direction. This place isn’t just toxic, it’s a case study of how not to run a business. Lots of backstabbing, and culture so poisonous it could be bottled and labeled “Hazardous Waste.” Diversity? Nonexistent. Psychological safety? A joke. No moneys left in this company.
