Execs are a joke especially Ops execs

Pros

None . They overwork their employees. Filled with Micro managers and toxic execs. Outlook of the company is gloomy. Talk of company going public is basically a distant dream. Ops Execs are like headless chickens. Can’t drive strategy, can’t execute without any issues and are in no way case or form “industry vets” to drive anything. Employee surveys are pointless as no one pays heed even after receiving down the drain ratings. Avoid like a plague if you have choices and save yourself anxiety and trauma.

Cons

Execs Vision Ability to execute

Pros

Prosper has a good culture and the CEO and executive team are good at communicating a clear direction for the company and being transparent. The engineering department is making good progress at reducing technical debt. There are lots of opportunities to learn and grow as a software engineer with interesting problems to solve. The company is profitable and has so far avoided layoffs despite uncertainty with the economy.

Cons

Employees within 50 miles are required to be in-person 2 days per week. Employees are sometimes expected to juggle multiple projects at once, between product initiatives and tech initiatives. Compensation could definitely be more competitive. Some employees rarely take time off and are overworked.

Pros

* Great benefits * CEO is mostly visible and informative

Cons

* Bad all around leadership * No directive in future of roll / job * Poor work/life balance. They pretend to care, but if you are in poor health at any moment, they might try to shift you out. * You really don't understand how bad it was / is until you find something so much better for more pay.
