Cheap & HR rigid

Pros

Almost everyone at my branch was curious and professional. Several of the lenders in my community went out of there way to be helpful and my interactions with senior mgmt. were all positive.

Cons

The company, or possible just the HR department does not value employees as people and treats them as disposable assets. People were fired over minor policy infractions, berated publicly for small mistakes, and lenders often were adversarial towards other lenders. It systems, and other banking infrastructure for staff were not modern & employees were expected to bring there own office supplies to work (pens, tissues, water coffee). A new senior lender was kicked out of his own branch due to a small HR paper work error that took a week to remedy. In general, the Bank is cheap and intolerant of even minor transgressions.

Pros

The customers are fantastic, management works to ensure you are satisfied with what is happening around you. After working with Prosperity for a little under a year I was able to leave, go to college, come back and due to a job opening be hired back for the summer. This happened a couple of times, and each time I was treated with respect by management and the hiring processes was made quick to get me in as soon as possible. If I was still in the area I would try to get rehired in a heart beat.

Cons

If you are part time you often have to work Saturdays as well, making your work week a 6 day week.
