Thank you for your feedback. I'm unsure if this review is for Protiviti as we do not have an office in Woodland Hills or a role of Assistant Manager. But nevertheless we will take your feedback to heart and will absolutely focus on being the best we can be for all.

Pros

If you are the type of person who is always looking to improve, Protiviti is the same. The leaders could have a lot of reasons to celebrate and rest on their prior accomplishments. However, we just rolled out this new strategy that lays out our future. I feel like the strategy was developed with me in mind. Lots of focus on the work we do on client accounts and lots of focus on how we do it better as a team.

Cons

The pace of change sometimes doesn't feel organized enough.

Pros

- As many have said, the people you work with are great. Most people are easygoing, friendly, and enjoyable to work with. Nearly everyone is willing to lend a hand and go above and beyond. - Opportunities for domestic travel and interesting projects, if you’re proactive managing your career. - Good work-life balance. Minimal “after hours” and weekend work. Generally not spread too thin on multiple projects. 40-45 hours per week is the norm. - Fair pay and mostly transparent bonus structure. - Promotion path through Senior Manager is straightforward. - Good mix of training opportunities, civic events, and after work activities. - Fridays are usually laid back, if you get your work done during the week. - Good vision for the future on where the firm wants to go, and capable Senior leadership. - Management seems genuinely happy to see you succeed in your career. - Taking the generous vacation you’re given is usually a non-issue. Sabbatical offered. - Growing firm - Ability to transfer to different offices, including overseas.

Cons

- Protiviti is chiefly an Internal Audit, controls, and compliance firm. Most projects revolve around these themes. This is especially true for smaller offices. Even if you’re part of a different solution (e.g. Technology Consulting), you can find yourself working Internal Audit projects more often than you like, or expected. Some successfully attach themselves to MDs from other offices/regions and work on different projects, but that’s contingent on you being proactive. Some just become Internal Auditors full time to continue progressing. The new "Foundations" program seems like a way to restrain expectations on the nature of work for new hires' projects. - Protiviti has a good vision for where they want to go. There’s lots of slick marketing materials and thought leadership. It remains to be seen if the internal capabilities of the firm are able to deliver on buzzwords (AI, RPA, Machine Learning, etc.), and what these projects will consist of (true implementation or control/risk assessments that Protiviti does a lot of). - There is a heavy focus on “fit” when recruiting. While important, this can lead to groupthink at times, and deviation from the collective may be viewed negatively. Sometimes new hires are great “fits”, but not great at their job. - Can be difficult to hit sales credit numbers without annuity Internal Audit work. - Potential for daily commutes to client sites in the suburbs, leading to long days/commutes - Some solutions are opportunistic, and lack clear strategy and direction
