Pros

People culture is great. Cannot say enough good things about the open door policy with the leadership. Flexible work arrangements for all levels. Time off is generous. Quality work is recognized.

Cons

- Compensation is low, especially for a market like Dallas where the talent competition is tough and job offers are dime a dozen. - Speaking of talent - Experienced staff and Seniors turnover rate is high! - If you are starting out your career, be ready for a lot of SOX work. Recently the company seems to be taking on a lot of loan staff projects which, for junior staff and their career development, is not good. - While in general the people culture is truly amazing, some MDs are ruthless. Leadership (higher than the office MDs) seem to know about this particular problem, but chooses not to do anything about it. There is a high turnover in this particular line of service due to this MD and his leadership style. It is a well-known secret that nobody wants to talk about or address.

They really do hire on people

Pros

Great work life balance, flexibility to your own schedule even at the consultant level. Higher management really do care about your success, and I've found that most are pretty supportive and vocal on your behalf for your career goals. The company is also still small enough that even as a new hire you get a lot of opportunity for ownership over your own work and projects.

Cons

Advertises as management consulting, but still heavily internal audit, specifically SOX auditing.
