Great opportunities but messy onboarding and career path
Pros
- Great projects and technologies you will not find in any other company in Kazan - Really great community — both technical competencies and the people themselves. This is the point I really love here. - Trips and relocation opportunities to US - Opportunities for professional growth in any direction - Bonus and compensation for AWS certifications - If you are lucky to land on a good project and are eager to work 10hr/day you'll grow very fast. - Fantastic top management - Fast growing business sector (ML/BigData/Cloud) Pro/Con: - Many projects are short running and are at early stage (3-6 months). For some people this is fine and stimulates growth, for some people this is exhausting
Cons
Everything below accounts for Kazan only. For Odesa/US things might be different. - You will not get salary increase when joining Provectus and will not get salary higher than international remote average, no matter your skills. - Zero mentorship for teamlead positions. - If you land on a bad project you are doomed (there are 2-3 bad projects out of 20-30 overall projects I'm aware of). I believe this is common negative for any outsourcing company. ***NOTE***: the below are not really cons if you can negotiate, know what you want and can hold your position. - You will be *politely* asked to take more and more projects until you push back. Quite many people I know don't push back and are running overtime. - You will be given zero managerial guidance. You are supposed to figure out everything yourselves. Community and peers are really helpful though if you can find the person you need. Still I encourage you to join Provectus. It is a great experience and most likely you will not meet these Cons or will be able to deal with them.
