Pros

I have an amazing boss and department that really encourages me to grow.

Cons

When I found an opportunity to grow, I interviewed and was offered the position. I was told that moving up didn't always come with the compensation you might expect

Pros

Commitment to the mission to care for the poor. Most staff are there to make a difference with compassionate care. The motto of "Know me, care for me, ease my way" is important and supported by management. Good place for older IT staff looking for job security in an institutional organization supporting legacy EMR systems.

Cons

Very fractured management across regions and affiliates. Poor morale and high turnover. Very poor IT services and Healthcare Intelligence management focusing more on politics and process hoops than delivering solutions. Very vendor-oriented with mostly outside solutions from consulting firms. Terrible environment for internal staff with technical or development experience.

Pros

Staff are very loyal. Management typically works well together. Most staff members are very competent. The teams work and collaborate very well.

Cons

Disorganized. Competing priorities, lack of focus, and vision. Some areas lacking appropriate staff to accommodate the needs of competing stakeholder requests. Lack of appropriate time to accomplish projects in a manner that exhibits any quality. This leads to no time for staff development which is supposed to be a priority. In addition to staff working weekends just to keep afloat, ultimately resulting in staff dissatisfaction. Senior leadership is prejudicial toward specific staff and managers leaning toward favoritism-Additionally undermining managers verbally to their superiors without any just cause or specifics, making trust a serious issue. Political games bordering on childish.
