Pros

Great people to work with and a huge variety of projects and clients that you can work on. I have been continually learning at all levels of the organisation for more than 8 years. Team members always happy to help colleagues out. For a consultancy firm, Proxima does try hard to achieve work/life balance. Opportunities to travel and work in the USA for those who want to.

Cons

Client focus sometimes means that personal development and "thought leadership" take a back seat

Pros

Proxima can be really great for growing in your career and the type of work you do. The people are all very willing to be part of a team and very collaborative and supportive of each other. PTO is great and benefits overall have improved greatly. The Chicago team was flown to the UK last year for our annual conference!

Cons

Travel can be challenging at times but it comes with the job. IT and network are always down (UK based) so it becomes a challenge to be productive. Diversity is seriously lacking and it seems very little is done to improve it. Unsure it’s even a priority. Last week alone ALL the interviews for an EA position we’re Caucasian ladies. Chicago is so diverse so it’s hard to understand why we can’t even interview more POC, let along, hire, when we talk about hiring goals it should be more than just gender.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences at Proxima, and it is great to read that you feel the overall culture is collaborative and supportive. We value all feedback at Proxima and know that it helps to ensure we continue to develop an open and honest culture. Diversity is also very important to us at Proxima. In response to the role you mentioned, we did shortlist a diverse range of candidates for interview. Within the Recruitment team, we do welcome and promote equality and diversity. If you wish to talk about diversity further, please do get in touch with our Executive Vice President of People.

Pros

Proxima's entrepreneurial nature sits at the core of its business. The company provides opportunities for those seeking to think outside the box and make a difference. As a woman in the workforce I feel that I've had a good opportunity to grow, develop and accelerate my career. Performance is based on your ability to deliver great results. The collaborative network promotes knowledge sharing and support across the firm which enables individuals to succeed in various client environments and in their individual careers.

Cons

Like any consulting firm, delivery to clients is the top priority so some days can be long but Proxima does a good job of acknowledging this and providing flexibility to its employees.
